Samsung’s planning big changes for its 10-year anniversary Galaxy S10 lineup. We know it’s going to launch 4 different phones with varying features, with one of them being a premium 5G flagship.

The Wall Street Journal (via SamMobile) has the inside scoop on this ultimate 5G version of the Galaxy S10. Apparently, it’s going to have a massive 6.7-inch display. Not only that, sources say it’s going to feature 6 cameras in all, two up front and four at the back.

5G Samsung Galaxy S10: Too Many Cameras?

Samsung’s already released phones with dual selfie lenses and quad rear cameras, so it’s not a stretch for it unveil a device that combines both. It sounds like the brand is trying very hard to dazzle consumers after the disappointment of the Galaxy S9, maybe too hard.

There’s even talk of a reverse charging tool on the 5G Galaxy S10 which will allow it to provide fuel to other wireless devices. Huawei’s Mate 20 Pro has this functionality as well, so Samsung won’t be the first. The brand supposedly refers to the device as the Beyond X internally and plans to launch it along with the other 3 variants in February.

However, the Beyond X won’t hit stores at the same time as the others. It’ll probably make an appearance once carriers switch over to 5G by the end of Q1 2019 or early Q2 2019. As for the original trio, there’s likely going to be a basic Galaxy S10 with a flat 5.8-inch screen, a standard Galaxy S10 with a curved 5.8-inch screen, and a premium Galaxy S10+ with a curved 6.4-inch screen.

Of the three, the entry-level Galaxy S10 is probably going to skip the in-display fingerprint scanner for budget reasons. The rest are almost certainly going to feature an optical fingerprint sensor underneath the panel. All four are set to feature bezel-less screens with a hole to house the selfie lens. The 5G Galaxy S10 might have two holes, going by the new report.
