The Motorola Droid Razr M Verizon, the latest addition to the Droid range of smartphones of the carrier, has hit availability status. Prospective users can lay their hands over this full-screen phone for under $100, if they are willing to sign the dotted line for a two-year commitment.
The stylish 4G LTE device builds up on the success of its predecessors and even sports certain similarities to other Droid members. Enclosed in a Kevlar-reinforced exterior, it comes with a water-repellent nanocoating for resistance against spills and splashes in addition to Corning Gorilla Glass for withstanding scrapes and scratches. It is outfitted with a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Advanced qHD edge-to-edge multi-touch display which claims to render clear visuals in 960 x 540p resolution.
Powered by the Android Ice Cream Sandwich platform, it acquires multitasking properties from a 1.5GHz dual core processor and 1GB RAM. The handset with dimensions of 4.82 x 2.39 x 0.33 inches, tips that scales at 4.44oz. A non-removable 2000mAh lithium-ion battery fuels the device to provide uninterrupted talk time of close to 20 hours.
Furthermore, the rear panel is dominated by an 8MP primary camera that can be launched directly via the lock screen. A front-mounted 0.3MP HD webcam facilitates face-to-face conferencing and even records 720p videos. Although the phone ships with 8GB internal memory, its expansion slot for a microSD card helps increasing the memory by up to 32GB.
