The inconspicuously large Samsung Galaxy Note is now available for users in the U.S. through AT&T stores. The tablet-smartphone hybrid has started shipping and requires a two-year customer agreement along with monthly data plans.

The upcoming availability of this 4G LTE enabled slab was announced back in January during the CES. The crossbreed device flaunts a Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen of 1280 x 800p resolution, spanning across 5.3 inches and it runs the Google Android Gingerbread platform. It also boasts of offering input flexibility to users with the help of the S Pen, a stylus packaged along with the Galaxy Note.

“The Galaxy Note brings a new level of efficiency to busy customers who would normally rely on multiple devices,” noted Jeff Bradley, senior vice president, Devices, AT&T Mobility and Consumer Markets. “This new breed of smartphone helps consumers accomplish more with a single device than ever before. The unique all-in-one experience can simplify daily life while tapping into AT&T’s 4G LTE network to let customers work even faster.”

Launching multiple applications at the same time may not be a problem as the device is embedded with a 1.5GHz dual core processor. Faster internet connectivity should also be ensured by the service provider’s 4G LTE network speed. Besides drawing, sketching and scribbling away in free-form handwriting, users can share stuff easily with a little assistance from the pre-loaded S Memo app to capture content.

The AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note price and availability details have been disclosed. Those who are ready to commit to the carrier for two years can lay their hands on the device for $299, while the unlocked version without an annual agreement is priced at $649.
