18MP Canon EOS M camera delivers FHD video quality, interchangeable lens

Canon EOS M

The recently unveiled Canon EOS M camera aims at delivering professional quality HD video capture along with continuous AF through the CMOS sensor technology. This 18MP snapper takes its place amongst the EOS family with 2 new lenses in tow and support for the entire Canon EF and EF-S lens lineup through the optional Mount Adapter EF-EOS M.

For detailed and rich low-light image quality, the device houses an 18MP APS-C-sized CMOS image sensor which can be coupled with the 2 new lenses, namely the EF-M 22mm f/2 STM kit lens and the optional EF-M 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM lens, designed especially for the company’s latest camera format. For better focus whilst recording moving objects, users will have the EOS FHD Movie mode with Movie Servo AF at their disposal.

In addition to the aforementioned attributes, the camera features the Hybrid CMOS AF that’s capable of delivering quick AF speeds for capturing videos and images. The Canon EOS M is fitted with a 3-inch Clear View LCD monitor II multi-touch display with a smudge-resistant coating for smooth navigation and rich visuals.
