Zero Rental Plan for Spice Post-paid After a spate of offers targeted at the pre-paid customers, mobile service providers are now turning their focus toward satisfying the needs of post-paid subscribers.

Spice Telecom, the oldest cellular service provider of Karnataka, has introduced a “Zero rental plan” for three years for its post-paid subscribers. Having made an initial one-time payment of Rs 999 with an additional charge will be charged later, the subscribers can avail of zero rentals for three years. There will be no CLI (Caller Line Identification) charges for the first six months, and subsequently Rs 25 will be charged. The plan offers features like 3000 free local SMS at a monthly rental of Rs 99, and calls to any STD number at Rs 1.99 per minute for a monthly rental of Rs 49.

On this offer outgoing calls from Spice to Spice will be charged 50 paise, 1 Rupee to other GSM/CDMA, and Rs 1.69 to landline numbers. Local SMS will cost 1 Rupee, national SMS Rs 2 and international SMS Rs 5. The STD rates for mobile to mobile and to landlines will be Rs 2.65.

Navin Kaul, chief operating officer, Spice Telecom Karnataka, said, “The only difference between a Pre-paid and a Post-Paid service is the option of the mode of payment provided by these services, for the benefit of the customers. When we have taken the initiative to provide zero rental offers to our pre-paid customers, why not provide the same for our post-paid customers as well. This is the first-of-its-kind product in the country with a combination of no rental or no administrative charges. This plan is perfect for subscribers who are heavy voice call users. With this product, we are taking a step further to make mobile services more accessible to the subscribers.”
