Mobile VoIP Service introduced by Mobiboo

Mobiboo logo on the UTStarcom F3000 phone Commercial VoIP Wi-Fi network operator in the UK Mobiboo, has kicked off its mobile VoIP service. The company started its service with UTStarcom’s F3000 clamshell Wi-Fi handset and the Mobiboo Dashboard PC phone.

Richard Newsome, Commercial Director at Mobiboo, said, “The cost-savings of VoIP have already been proven by companies such as Skype. Mobiboo has gone one step further to replicate a true mix of traditional mobile, DECT and landline phone services to provide both residential and business customers with a credible alternative, thus giving real value for money.”

“In a nut shell, a mobile number, DECT functionality and landline pricing with the additional coverage available with Wi-Fi,” continued Newsome.

The F3000 features a full-color, 1.8″ LCD screen, polyphonic ringtones, text messaging capability, talk-time of up to three hours and stand-by time of around 75 hours, while Mobiboo Dashboard offers the capacity to send instant messages and files to other Mobiboo Dashboard users.

The service will allow users to make calls via UTStarcom’s F3000 whenever they are in range of an open Wi-Fi hotspot or wireless router. Mobiboo has also tied-up with The Cloud, Europe’s leading hotspot provider, Europe’s leading hotspot provider, giving good hotspot coverage in the UK. Mobiboo VoIP has important cost-saving propositions, both domestically and when traveling abroad, as international roaming charges become non-existent.
