Telecom Services provider Bharti Airtel has announced a 36% reduction in International Long Distance Tariffs to the US and Canada for its mobile subscriber base in India.
The revised tariff change will enable Airtel mobile users to call US and Canada at just Rs 1.99 per minute. This step is Airtel’s effort to make International calling more reasonable and deliver greater value to its growing number of mobile users. The new tariff is applicable on the Airtel STD & ISD Calling Card worth Rs 2245/- only.
Sanjay Gupta, Chief Marketing Officer, Mobile Services, Bharti Airtel said, “Airtel as an industry leader has always been at the forefront of leading affordability, driving value and expanding the market. India is a global economic powerhouse today with business interests spanning boundaries. With more and more Indians connecting with their friends, family and business associates across the world, it is imperative that International calling becomes more affordable.”
In fact, around three months back, Hutch had announced a no monthly Rentals scheme for National Roaming that dropped tariffs up to 56 percent.
