McAfee has introduced the Anti Theft Protection security software offering privacy and theft protection for confidential files. The software enables users to lock their important files such as bank statements, tax returns, business documents, photos etc.

McAfee believes that the need of theft protection software was increased as nine out of ten consumers keep personal information like wills, financial documents, social security numbers and passwords on their PCs. And with the increasing rate of laptops theft such confidential numbers can be easily stolen and misused.

McAfee Anti Theft ensures safety of important and confidential data of individuals and small businesses. The software is made user-friendly so that everyone in the family or businesses can secure personal and sensitive information. With just few easy steps, users can create their own vault, store sensitive and personal files and protect their vault with a secure password.

Creating multiple vaults per PC is also possible hence information of the individual is secured when the PC is shared.

Understanding the difficulties of forgetful users, McAfee has also offered essential ways to regain access to the protected files if the password is forgotten. By answering a number of verification questions, users can easily reset the password.
