What OS does this software work with? So hopeless these people try to sell a product and don’t even specify the minimum system requirements for it neither in this article nor on their website. This is the problem with our Indian product vendors, They don’t market their products properly,

To do this is actually easy given that internet is world wide. But what if the stolen lappy never get connected to the internet (which i think wl be in most cases). With technology so advance , i think the companies shud look into this issue.

Will be interesting to know how this s/w bypasses Firewall (if it does!!) or Mr Alok Gupta assumes that most of the guys stealing the laptops are novice, will connect to internet and start using as their own.

After Reading your Article, I have understood that it is useful when this s/w is installed in the losted laptops .
The thief is not a fool after reading this article he will definitely un install it
recently one of my friend lost his Laptop in Train Journey. He was not installed the s/w you mentioned.
Is there any chance of getting his Laptop Back????

First of all, this software is like any other software which will run on most operating system. The software will connect directly to the web server without the user knowledge and send info the web server. But most of the thief will format the Hard Disk which will erase the entire software and will not work anymore. Also, if the thief is not using internet, this software is useless again.
If it is certain that they will find the laptop for Rs.3000/-, its OK but to buy the software @ 3000/- is useless expense.
