Security software company, F-Secure has just introduced the F-Secure Client Security 7 software, which claims to take care of emerging threats such as zero-day and rootkit attacks that have are becoming ever-so –frequent these days.

The F-Secure Client Security 7 software includes a number of revised features. One of the more significant features includes the F-Secure DeepGuard application, which provides zero-day protection against previously unknown malware. This feature uniquely combines several proactive technologies, such as advanced real-time heuristics, sandboxing and behavior monitoring with signature based antivirus technology to ensure comprehensive data protection.

F-Secure DeepGuard, instead of just analyzing new programs once they enter the system, this new feature also monitors the behavior of software in real-time mode, scanning for suspicious program behavior and stopping activities that might pose a risk.

F-Secure DeepGuard has been designed to require as little user intervention as possible due to its artificial intelligence as well as tight integration with antivirus and firewall programs.

The F-Secure Client Security 7 software also includes other innovations such as the ability to find hidden rootkits and lurking spyware through the integrated F-Secure BlackLight rootkit scanning functionality. The BlackLight feature allows administrators to scan the entire company network.

F-Secure Policy Manager 7, is the security management system that comes as a part of the F-Secure Client Security 7 package. By combining F-Secure Policy Manager 7 and F0Secure Anti-Virus for Servers 7 with F-Secure Client Security 7, companies are able to take protection of their computer systems to the next level. New features in F-Secure Anti-Virus for
Servers 7 include greater performance, reliability and usability and best-of breed spyware, rootkit and riskware protection for Windows servers.
