Symantec The Borne Ultimatum Contest Logo Symantec has announced an offer for customers who purchase the Norton 360 security solutions over the Internet.

Basically, customers have till July 31, 2007 to purchase the security software from the Symantec Online Store, in order to qualify for ‘The Borne Ultimatum Contest’.

The winner will get two roundtrip tickets to Los Angeles, USA, where they will join ‘Jason Bourne’ as he continues his quest to regain his own identity.

Still clueless? Well, ‘The Borne Ultimatum’ happens to be the latest sequel of the hit movie ‘The Borne Identity’, which was then followed up by ‘The Borne Supremacy’. In all three of these movies, Matt Damon plays Jason Bourne.

Well, now this offer should make sense! One lucky winner from India, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand will stand a chance to win two tickets to the Hollywood premier of the Borne Ultimatum on August 9. The winner will also get roundtrip tickets to LA and two night’s accommodation.

Symantec has come out with this offer in an effort to increase public awareness of the increasing threat of identity theft, which is very much like the situations in ‘The Borne Identity’ and ‘The Borne Supremacy’.

According to David Freer, vice president, Consumer Business, Symantec Corp, “The Borne Ultimatum Contest is one of the many public education campaigns that Symantec is undertaking, and we hope that this fun tactic can help get a very serious message across to the public.”
