Geodesic’s Mundu Radio Wins the CNET ‘Webware 100′ Award for Mobile Category

Mundu Radio, a software that streams radio right from the internet to your mobile phones has been conferred with the ‘CNET Webware 100’ award in the Mobile category. The “Webware 100″ Awards rewards the best Web 2.0 products and applications that are bringing an altogether new breath of innovation.

An ecstatic Atul Chitnis, Senior Vice President-Products & Strategy, Geodesic said, “We knew that we had a good product because our users told us so.” Adding, “Winning this award in the company of high caliber nominees such as Google and Yahoo proves it.”

Thousands can gain access to the world of digital Internet Radio stations on internet-connected mobile phones. Thanks to the customizable play lists and profiles, users can easily navigate their favorite stations and genres. Furthermore, the music quality in Mundu Radio is excellent. And surely sounds better than the normal FM stations.

CNET Editor at Large, Rafe Needleman stated, “Webware.com created the Webware 100 awards to help consumers weed through the vast amount of Web 2.0 websites available and find the best ones they trust to meet their needs.”

The finalists for the “Webware 100″ awards were selected by the editors of CNET site Webware.com. However the final set of winners was chosen by the users, wherein the finalists were selected and featured in an online poll. After which users voted and finally selected 100 winners in 10 categories. Over 450, 000 votes were cast in the online poll.

Geodesic’s Mundu Radio is the only Indian product company to appear in the ultimate winners’ list.
