Adobe Media Player, a next-generation Internet Video solution unveiled at NAB Trade Show
Today, Adobe Systems unveiled its Adobe Media Player desktop application at the National Association of Broadcasters trade show. Adobe Media Player has deployed Adobe’s Emmy award winning Flash architecture. Adobe Media Player will be a useful tool for viewers by delivering great video experiences to them; and also to content publishers, who will be provided with new abilities to distribute, track and build businesses around their media assets.
Adobe Media Player can be installed on a PC through a very lightweight download. Using Adobe Media Player one will be able to download and view videos offline and create new shows. Other features of Adobe Media Player include full screen playback, one-click viewer ratings and a favorites feature that automatically downloads new episodes of TV shows or video podcasts.
Adobe Media Player enables high quality Flash playback. This player is cross-platform, and is based on open standards including RSS and SMIL.
Besides, the technology provides content publishers a standardized toolbox to deploy a variety of innovative new advertising formats, and to compile permission-based analytics data, both online and offline, to better understand their audiences. Building on Adobe’s rich history of document protection technology, Adobe Media Player plans to offer content publishers a range of protection options, including streaming encryption, content integrity protection and identity-based protection.
Adobe Media Player works seamlessly with Adobe Flash Player, Adobe Flash CS3 Professional, Flash Media Server 2, Flash Lite, Adobe Creative Suite 2 Production Premium for video, audio and motion graphics production and Adobe Media Encoder.
