Apple Safari Web Browser for Windows introduced in Beta

Apple has introduced a beta version of its Safari Internet browser especially for Windows operating system. This announcement was made by Apple’s chief executive Steve Jobs on Monday, and could possibly be Apple’s take on Microsoft’s Internet Explorer and Mozilla’s FireFox Web browsers.
“What we’ve got here is the most innovative browser in the world and the most powerful browser in the world,” stated Steve Jobs during his keynote speech at the company’s Worldwide Developers Conference.
Apple’s Safari browser was released a few years ago solely for Apple’s Macintosh computers. Now, several years later, this browser has managed to capture around 5% of the world’s market share for Internet browsers with over 18 million users.
Microsoft’s Internet Explorer has a 78% share, while Firefox has rapidly climbed to gain around 15% of the market, claimed Steve Jobs. He also mentioned that just like other Web browsers, Safari would be available at no charge at all.
Jobs also went as far as to claim that Safari performs as fast as its competitors, which are Internet Explorer and Firefox.
Jobs said that the highly anticipated hybrid iPhone as well as Apple’s iPod would be able to run the Safari Web browser. This means that any application meant to run on the Safari browser for Macs, will also be fully accessible and compatible with the iPhone.
