Nvidia has announced a contest called the ‘Nvidia Windows Vista Competition’ which invites all to design Gadgets for Microsoft’s latest Windows Vista operating system.

Windows Vista Gadgets are mini-applications that are written in HTML and JavaScript. The sky is the limit when it comes to creating such Gadgets as they can be designed to perform just about any function. In order to enter the Nvidia Windows Vista Competition, click here. On this page you will have to take a short quiz, after which you can upload your Windows Vista Gadget.

The Nvidia Windows Vista Competition will be judged by representatives from Nvidia and Microsoft. The main areas that the judges will concentrate on when judging will be usability, links, design and use of Nvidia and Microsoft elements.

The top three gadget entries will win awesome prizes. The first prize is an XFX Nvidia GeForce 8800GTS worth Rs.25,000; the second prize is a Nvidia GeForce 8500GT, and the third is a Sparkle Nvidia GeForce 6200.

What’s more, every fifth person to correctly answer the short quiz will also win Nvidia goodies.

Entries to the Nvidia Windows Vista Competition will be accepted until May 24. Winners of the competition will be declared on May 31.
