Autodesk's 4 city roadshow destinations

Design software and digital content company Autodesk has announced that it plans to kick off a 4 city roadshow in India that will acquaint the Indian Media and Entertainment industry to its latest range of visual effects, colour correction, editing, compositing and collaborative technologies. The roadshow is slated to begin on October 6, 2007 in Mumbai followed by Chennai, Hyderabad and New Delhi.

The main intention behind the roadshow is to launch IFFFS v2008 that features major upgrades to their award-winning Inferno, Flame, Fire, Flint and Smoke systems, along with generating awareness and educating users about the new versions.

This potent range of tools is perfect for the thorough demands of today’s digital content creation environment with high performance but simplified and synchronized workflow, ease of data transfer across a facility, and interoperability with a huge amount of third party solutions, IFFFS v2008 is stronger and incorporates more pipeline competences.

Pankaj Kedia, Regional Manager, Systems - China , India & South East Asia, Autodesk Media and Entertainment said “The Indian digital content creation industry is booming across film, television and interactive markets. Strong economic expansion, increasing investments in HD infrastructure, and rising budgets in TV programming, advertising and movies across the region is making 2008 a year to look forward to”.

“Keeping this in mind we expect Visual Effects and Digital Intermediate to continue to drive the market and create added demand for Autodesk’s systems, especially the likes of Flame, Lustre and Smoke” Kedia continued.

Autodesk has teamed up with several technology leaders such as HP who will discuss about their offerings in the post production, broadcast, VFX and advertising space at the launch events.

As mentioned above, the Roadshow will begin in Mumbai on Oct 6th, reach Chennai on Oct. 8th, head to Hyderabad on Oct 9th and will finally end on Oct 11th at New Delhi.
