Microsoft Releases Windows Vista Build 5365
Microsoft has unveiled the build 5365 of Windows Vista, requesting testers to concentrate on the 64-bit installations of the operating system. The pre-Beta 2 Windows Vista build 5365 has been released to members of its TAP, Beta, and Partner programs in x86 and x64 versions of the Ultimate Edition.
Microsoft is advocating a clean install, noting several problems when upgrading from Windows XP, and build-to-build upgrades are not supported.
In an e-mail to testers, Microsoft said, “Windows Vista build 5365 is another snapshot of our progress on our way to the Beta 2 milestone and will allow you to verify fixed bugs as well as check for new regressions that may have been introduced,” the company said in an e-mail to testers.
