Endeavour Valve Problems

Problems after problems are hitting NASA! Some days ago, they had to face issues regarding reports of drunken astronauts and sabotage controversies. However, now a new problem has emerged. It was found that there was a leak in one of the two pressure-relief valves in the cabin of the space shuttle Endeavour.

But authorities at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) are used to face such kinds of difficulties. They are planning to remove and restore the faulty valve with a valve taken from space shuttle Atlantis. The valves are very important as they make certain that the crew cabin does not become over-pressurized.

Besides this, one more issue had cropped up. One of two thermostats for one of Endeavour’s auxiliary power units has had a minor problem. However scientists at NASA will now replace both the thermostats, which basically generate power for the shuttle’s vital hydraulic systems.

Authorities at NASA have assured that these difficulties will not come in the way of the Endeavor launch. The space shuttle is expected to make a trip to the International Space Station on August 7, 2007.
