Sonim brings XP2 Spirit rugged 3G mobile phone to Europe

Sonim XP2 Spirit Sonim Technologies recently slid the covers off its XP2 Spirit, the latest addition to the company’s Xtreme Performance series, claiming to be the world’s toughest phone.

This first 3G mobile phone from Sonim elevates ruggedness with a refreshed look. It has been designed for professionals and consumers looking for unrivaled performance outside their workplace. The device has been tested against the company’s rugged performance standards, a 12-point test ensuring highest quality and the phone also adheres to the needs of extreme and rugged lifestyles.

The Spirit offers advanced features which include IP-67/MIL-810G certification, resistance against rain, fog and salt air, submersible into water up to 1 meter for 30 minutes, impact proof, works in extreme temperatures, extra-loud audio, 3MP camera, and supports Video and MP3.

With a three year unconditional guarantee, the device also supports FM radio, MMS, web browsing, LED torch and Micro SD slot up to 8GB. The Spirit is compliant with military standard MIL 810G and offers compatibility with a broad range of off-the-shelf car kits and headsets. The Sonim XP2.10 will be made available across Europe in retail stores from next month.
