Nokia IDJMG, UMGI and Rihanna sign music partnership

Some may agree that nothing could make the launch of Nokia X6 sweeter than the proclamation of the company’s global music deal. Nokia, Island Def Jam Music Group, Universal Music Group International and Rihanna have joined together to deliver music content to fans with the Comes With Music feature.
Select bloggers will be allowed to record, stream and share Rihanna’s live performance with people from all around the world. The artist will sing a few numbers from her latest album Rated R at the London concert on November 16, 2009. The sharing of this content will rely on web-based social computing intelligence. People can participate in the event from Nokia Music Stores for free. Nokia Comes With Music subscribers may avail of a free download of Rated R along with a bonus track, remix and other content. The Ovi Store will host a Rihanna application and video footage of the concert as well as the track ‘Wait Your Turn’ before the album hits stores.

The Nokia X6 sports a 3.2 inch touchscreen with resolutions of 640 x 360p, QWERTY keyboard and 5MP autofocus camera. The camera technology is powered by Carl Zeiss optics and features dual LED flash, red-eye reduction, 4 x digital zoom and much more. This multimedia-capable handset supports a variety of audio and video formats such as MP3. SPMidi, AAC, AAC+, WMA, MPEG-4SP, WMV9, MPEG4-AVC and so on.

The 112g light X 6 handset is available in white/blue and black/red in-box colors. Nokia’s global music partnership probably adds a melodious ring to the launch of this phone.
