iPhone in Ireland

Apple’s iPhone is one of the most popular devices in the world. After landing on the European shores in countries like UK, France, Germany, now it is all set to hit the Irish stores. O2 Ireland will be the carrier, which will launch the iPhone in Ireland.

Irish iPhone fans will have to wait for just 14 more days to welcome the device. On March 14, 2008, the iPhone will be available at O2 stores located in Ireland. The 8GB iPhone will cost €399 while the 16GB model will be available at €499.

O2 Ireland has announced three tariff plans for the iPhone which include a €45, €65, and €100 per month offer.

iPhone’s launch in Ireland was a little surprising to the technology world, as most experts were expecting the iPhone to first release in Australia. However, it is said that iPhone’s exclusive agreement in Australia might be illegal.

Nevertheless, as of now Irish mobile phone savvies seem to be luckier than the Aussies to get the revolutionary device sooner in their hands.
