Mobile phone and desktop PC software products innovator Geodesic has joined hands with India-based GSM mobile services operator IDEA Cellular to come up with “IDEA Radio” – India’s very first Mobile Internet Radio service.

Built-on Geodesic’s popular and award-winning Mundu Radio technology, IDEA Radio has been developed and optimized for mobile functions. With the new IDEA Radio, the network’s 20 million subscriber-base will be able to flawlessly tune into a variety of interesting entertainment channels throughout the day. What’s more, users can do all this without worrying about the hassles of carrying an additional device or being within a limited range of FM radio stations. In short, no frills and no limitations on what you hear as a variety of genres are available for the users’ entertainment. This is all thanks to the technology that is designed to scale seamlessly, enabling unlimited channels to be added to the offering.

From the much-loved Bollywood, dance, Indi-pop and love songs, to the rather niche genres of devotional music, music from the 80s and 90s, regional music such as Punjabi and Bhojpuri, and western genres such as such as Pop, Rock, Hip-hop, Jazz – all can be tuned as per the listener’s preference.
