Norwegian Telenor and Finnish Nokia come together for Ovi Services
Telenor, one of Norway’s leading GSM mobile communications service provider has come together with Nokia to provide their subscribers with Ovi Services.
Not only will the team bring the internet based Ovi Service, company selected services like Nokia Maps, N-Gage and Telenor Music Store and Mobile TV and many others will also be provided to their consumers.

“Our ambition is to be a leading operator providing new and user-friendly services accessible on mobile devices. The agreement with Nokia is the beginning of an exciting collaboration where we will extensively deploy the capabilities of our high-speed third generation mobile network,” said Morten Karlsen Soerby, Executive Vice President and Head of Telenor Nordic.
Telenor and Nokia will be offering the services in the later half of 2008 on various Nokia handsets. Few of the aforementioned services have been launched just a few month back like the Ovi service, and these will be available on select Nokia devices. These services will also be offered to select business models as well. The collaboration is aimed at boosting both the companies positions in the market as the mobile internet based services, to the top.
