Apple's New Strategy Apple now does not accept cash for iPhone purchases and has also limited the sales of the “revolutionary” cell phone to two units per person. This policy was made by the iPhone manufacturer last week.

The new strategy is expected to stop or reduce the unauthorized reselling of iPhones. The unauthorized reselling has many a times led towards unlocking the device or other modifications.

“Customer response to the iPhone has been off the charts, and limiting iPhone sales to two per customer helps us ensure that there are enough iPhones for people who are shopping for themselves or buying a gift,” said Apple spokeswoman Natalie Kerris.

“We’re requiring a credit or debit card for payment to discourage unauthorized resellers,” Kerris added.

Earlier, Apple had attempted to restrict such unlocking with a software update that blocked hacked iPhones.
