Samsung MAX Open Market CDMA Phone Launched in India

Samsung MAX Open Market CDMA Phone Samsung Electronics has announced to launch the first open market CDMA phone - Samsung MAX in India. It is a slider type phone and will be available with both Reliance Mobile and Tata Indicom Subscribers.

The Max CDMA phone features the following:

  • A 1.9-inch 262k TFT screen
  • A 1.3 MP camera
  • Bluetooth
  • Expandable memory
  • FM radio
  • MP3 player
  • Voice recorder
  • Moreover, the handset is perfectly targeted at the Indian youth delivering special features like Indian Calendar, Panchang, Mobile Prayer, Cricket Scorer, Hinglish SMS, Mobile Tracker and SOS alert.

    Hyundai Kim, Vice President and Head - CDMA Division, Samsung Telecommunications India, said, “We expect to fuel the growth of the Indian CDMA industry through the launch Samsung Max in the open market. Fully feature loaded Samsung Max is launched to serve the Multimedia needs of the CDMA consumer. The availability of CDMA phones in the open market will provide Indian consumers freedom to choose network operator’s of their choice.”

    Initially Samsung’s MAX phone will be available to Delhi and Mumbai-based CDMA subscribers.
