KE850 Touch-screen Mobile Phone launched by LG and Prada; becomes Direct Competitor to Apple’s iPhone
Yesterday, LG Electronics announced the launch of its first touch-screen mobile phone, KE850. The LG KE850 is manufactured in association with PRADA, one of the leading brands in the world when it comes to the luxury good industry. Interestingly, it has only been two weeks since Apple launched it’s much awaited iPhone, and now LG has come out with a similar handset, making them direct competitors.
The LG Prada KE850 mobile phone features a large touch-screen display. At just a glance, it resembles Apple’s iPhone, which combines three products- a revolutionary mobile phone, a widescreen iPod with touch controls, and a breakthrough Internet communications device with desktop-class e-mails, Web browsing and maps- in one small and lightweight handheld device.
Okay, enough of Apple’s iPhone. Let’s talk about the LG Prada phone now. LG’s KE850 Prada mobile phone sports a very sophisticated look with the first complete advanced touch interface. This eliminates the need for the conventional keypad, making the overall experience of using the LG Prada phone a very tactile one.
When compared with the Apple iPhone, LG’s KE850 Prada mobile phone is much smaller in size, and also features a user interface built on top of Adobe’s Macromedia Flash technology. Moreover, the extra wide LCD screen allows the user to benefit from several key features of the phone.
The LG Prada KE850 touch-screen mobile phone is an ultra-thin phone that measures just 12mm. This revolutionary phone from LG and Prada has tri-band (900/1800/1900) and EDGE capabilities.
The LG KE850 phone from LG and Prada supports Bluetooth 2.0 and USB 2.0 connectivity. It also includes a MicroSD memory slot, which allows users to increase memory capacity for images, films clips and music.
Slated to go on sale in the latter part of February this year, The KE850 Prada phone from LG will be sold at a price of $780USD. In March, the KE850 LG Prada touch-screen mobile phone will come to the Asian market
