Disaster Information Alert System developed by Geneva Software Technologies
One of the biggest headlines surrounding all news channels and internet sites is that Indonesia escaped tsunami again as quake took toll. At such a time imagine if there was some kind of a device that could actually alert you about the approaching Tsunami could perhaps be a blessing in disguise.
Bangalore-based Geneva Software Technologies Limited has developed a Tsunami Disaster Information Alert System, which sends alert messages to mobile phones in 14 Indian languages to the area where the Tsunami is going to strike. The alert message will be sent in less than 50 seconds time from the second the Met. Department receives the alert.
The latest product is essentially an extension of the Geneva National Disaster Information System which is a way of sending disaster alerts in multilingual SMS that reaches 95% of mobile phones. In addition it is also a way of Automated Voice Alerts reachable to 100% of mobiles and landlines and in a case where there are no mobile and landlines Standalone Public Address Systems to provide direct Audio Alerts
This product is based on Geneva’s patented technology called Natural Language Frame-work (NLF), which is a system and method for product migration in multi-lingual Languages. NLF has the ability to migrate a given software application from its source language to the target language extrinsically or intrinsically with reference to the User Interface, Data Services, Internationalization features, personalization and cultural data.
