Samsung mobile phones The Guinness World Records is surely one of the most coveted recognition for anyone or any company. It sets a mark in itself to be credited in that humungous bibliography that recognizes talent, genius and the ability to do something truly unique.

This time it’s Electronics giant Samsung who has found a place for itself in the forthcoming Guinness World Records 2008. And guess what, it’s not just one, two but three of its devices who have been acclaimed for their uniqueness and ability to carve an altogether different mark in the world of mobile phones.

In three different categories, three Samsung mobile phones have won the Guinness World Records 2008.

First is Samsung SGH-U100, which has been acclaimed as the world’s slimmest phone by the 2008 edition of the Guinness World Records. This device has an astounding 5.9mm thickness. Well, if this is even slimmer than Calista Flockhart for sure!

The other device that won the recognition is the Samsung SCH-B600, a 10-million pixel camera that fits appropriately into the Guinness record category for the highest photo resolution in a mobile phone.

And finally, the SGH-Z370 handset which measures 8.4 mm thick won the title of the world’s slimmest third-generation (3G) phone.

These records will be listed in the Guinness World Records for at least year, when the 2009 edition is released.
