YouTube video on an LG phone LG has penned a deal with the renowned video sharing website YouTube to conceptualize a mobile phone device which can operate the service.

Speaking about the new proposed model, LG stated that it will have the capability to upload, view and share video clips or user-created content (UCC) over the internet sans the hassles of using a PC.

According to LG, “LG Electronics will unveil the mobile handset that fully supports the YouTube service for the first time in Europe in the second half of this year.”

The first phones with the ability to do this will be available worldwide “at the end of the year.”

Apart from YouTube, LG has already been in the move of joining hands with the world’s leading search engine and the owner of YouTube – Google.

The South Korean firm started selling 3G handsets termed ‘Google phones’ that were embedded with software that enabled using the Google service.

These handsets called ‘LG-KS10’, which offers one-click access to Google’s search engine as well as Google maps and Gmail, are available in stores across Europe since June.

Furthermore, LG is equating the balance between both the rivals –Google and Yahoo. The electronics company has signed a similar deal with Yahoo to put that company’s services on some handsets. LG will exclusively install Yahoo Go for Mobile 2.0, Yahoo Mail, and Yahoo Messenger on some handsets.

So LG is surely not only developing some interesting initiatives but is also striking a fine balance between rivals.
