Nokia has unveiled two new mid-range handsets, the Nokia 6500 classic and the Nokia 6500 slide. Both these phones have been created with maximum usability in mind.

The Nokia 6500 classic and the Nokia 6500 slide have ergonomically correct dimensions and surfaces, allowing them to be precisely balanced in the user’s hand. Both these mobile phones have large keys and feature third generation WCDMA technology.

The Nokia 6500 classic mobile phone measures just 9.5mm thin and has been crafted from 360 degrees of anodized aluminum. This phone has got a stylish look and if you wish to be unique then you must know that each Nokia 6500 classic phone is individually polished so that no two phones are exactly alike. That’s not all; this phone features diamond polishing on the beveled display aperture and a cold stamped logo.

However, looks apart, the Nokia 6500 classic mobile phone features dual band 3G technology for speedy downloads/ browsing and quad-band GSM for worldwide roaming.

The Nokia 6500 classic handset comes with 1GB of internal memory and a 2 mega pixel camera with dual LED flash. This phone also has an integrated music player. Besides, the micro-USB connector that is provided with the phone simplifies charging audio and data connectivity.

The second phone unveiled by Nokia is the 6500 slide mobile phone. Its main USP seems to be the 3.2 mega pixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics. The addition of autofocus, a dual LED flash and 8x digital zoom makes the Nokia 6500 handset a good choice.

This phone also has good looks as it features an elegantly brushed stainless steel finish and smooth slide mechanism. This phone has a unique hard coating that helps to prevent scratches and fingerprints.

The Nokia 6500 classic phone is expected to be available during Q3 2007 and will cost you around Rs.17,446. The Nokia 6500 slide handset will also be available in the 3rd quarter of 2007 but will carry a higher price tag of around Rs.20,171.
