Virgin Mobile allows users to earn airtime with SugarMama
On Tuesday, Virgin Mobile USA launched a new program called “SugarMama”. This new program allows its users to earn airtime just by viewing advertisements. The user views the online ad, and then has to provide feedback to the advertiser on what they saw. SugarMama offers consumers up to 75 minutes of free talk time per month.
Microsoft’s Xbox division; PepsiCo Inc. and Truth- The national youth anti-smoking initiative are the three national brands that initially signed on to the service. This service is powered by Ultramercial which is a California based internet advertising firm, which specializes in offering incentives to users that watch its client’s ads.
SugarMama is the result of testing with its customers, Virgin Mobile said. Users will be required to opt into the service after certifying they are 13 years of age or older and filling out a demographic profile. From there, the user would need to watch a video advertisement, and then be able to answer several questions to ensure they understood its content. Correct answers would equal free airtime. Additionally, users could opt into text messages for the opportunity to earn more minutes.
Virgin has high hopes for the new service. “Our customers are the first to try new things and often convince others to do the same,” chief marketing officer Howard Handler said. “They are passionate about the brands and music they associate with and, like Virgin Mobile itself, they are not afraid to be different.”

sugar mama minutes have not been adding to my account total this past week.
Before that, they’d appear in the sugarmama history and appear in the account history as +0.18, and the account balance would increase.
Now they just appear in the sugarmama history, but the account balance isn’t going up and they’re not showing up in account history.
Is sugarmama broken?
