Samsung launches SCH-B340, the World’s Slimmest DMB-Enabled Phone

Samsung SCH-B340 Samsung Electronics, on Tuesday launched the SCH-B340, which it claims as to be the world’s slimmest digital multimedia broadcasting (DMB)-enabled phone.

The satellite DMB phone is 17.3 millimeters thick, compared with 21.5 millimeters of the company’s slimmest phone previously for mobile TV broadcasting, Samsung said in a report.

Samsung’s SCH-B340 has a 2-megapixel camera and an MP3 player, with an LCD screen having a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels. It has TV-out, multitasking, file viewer and external memory functions.

Users can move the function menu only by shaking up and down, thanks to the built-in motion sensor.

The phone will be shown in South Korea later this week at a price of over 700,000 won ($725), according to Samsung.
