Motorola agrees to acquire Good Technology
Motorola, Inc. has announced that it has signed a definitive agreement with Good Technology under which Motorola will acquire privately held Good Technology. However no further details on the transaction have been revealed yet. The acquisition, which is subject to regulatory and other customary conditions, is expected to close in early 2007.
Santa Clara-based Good Technology is a leader in enterprise mobile computing software and service is a strategic addition to Motorola’s Mobile Devices business. Through the acquisition Motorola plans to expand its mobile computing capabilities and increase the company’s enterprise client base. Good Technology’s wireless messaging, data access and handheld security offerings offer intuitive and enhanced productivity solutions for mobile professionals with enterprise-level device security and management.

Motorola’s association with Good Technology’s is not new. It already has an existing business relationship with Good Technology using Good Mobile Messaging on the Motorola Q.
