Pantech PG-6100 Multimedia Mobile Phone unveiled in Argentina
Korean mobile phone manufacturer, Pantech Co. Ltd., debuts the PG-6100 multimedia phone that targets the high-end mobile phone sector in Argentina.
Pantech PG-6100 phone will be offered via CTI Movil, the Argentine affiliate of American Movil, the largest mobile carrier in Latin America. Packed in a trendy and chic design the new multimedia phone provides users a blend of both camera and phone technology.
“Since Pantech entered into Argentine mobile phone market at the end of last year, we have been rapidly growing up. We are now making another move to diversify our product portfolio across all price segments and tap into the high-end handset market of the region with our PG-6100 multimedia phone,” said Keon C. Kim, Senior Vice President, Overseas Marketing, Pantech Group.
“Argentina is fully part of our tremendous efforts to further expand our market share in Latin America. The launch of this new product will help us move closer to achieving our goal of increasing our presence in the region and to position ourselves as a true leading mobile handset manufacturer,” continued Kim.
The PG-6100, a clamshell phone, features a 2 MP camera with 4x digital zoom and a 1.9-inch 260,000 color TFT display as well as a 260,000 color OLED sub-display. It also includes Bluetooth functionality, a speakerphone and an FM radio.
The PG-6100 phone has 256 MB internal memory and 64 polyphonic ringtones. Users can send photos and phone numbers to other mobile phones through the phone’s Infrared data association (IrDA) functionality.
