Designed to be ‘ultimate expressions of craftsmanship and exclusivity’ Signature Diamond handsets are made to order, targeted at a certain niche segment, who wish to make a unique style statement.

According to sources, it took no less than eight designers, and the labor of 4 whole years, to perfect the feel of the keypad of the Vertu Signature Diamond phone. So complex is said to be the process of assembling the phone that it takes even an expert up to three years to put together one.
The Vertu Signature Yellow Gold and Signature White Gold varieties contain 48 baguette cut diamonds in keys alone. The full pave Yellow Gold handset contains 943 brilliant cut diamonds altogether, with each diamond having been set in place by highly skilled craftsmen from Switzerland.
Meanwhile, the even more exclusive ‘Boucheron for Vertu’ handsets have their beginnings in the machinations of one Frédéric Boucheron, who founded his Parisian jewellery house in 1858, had a passion to create the most exquisite piece on the face of the Earth. And, it was this that ultimately led Frank Nuovo to marry the skill and artistry of some of the world’s most accomplished jewelers and watchmakers to mobile technology.
“We share many things in common,” stated Alberto Torres, President of Vertu when commenting on the alliance with the House of Boucheron. “Most important of which are the passion for craftsmanship and the obsession for excellence. It is truly a meeting of minds on how we understand and recognize the strength of each House; taking the combined expertise of Vertu’s world class craftsmen and Boucheron’s own master jewelers to craft a modern masterpiece,” he added.
Boucheron for Vertu luxury handsets come in two unique models and in limited quantities There are only 8 Signature Cobra pieces available worldwide and 26 Signature Python models created in honour of Boucheron’s pioneering store at 26 Place Vendome.
