Apple Takes Psystar to the Court for Cloning Mac Systems
Apparently Apple has decided to file a suit against Psystar, a Miami-based company that is selling Macintosh OS system. The lawsuit is registered under copyright-infringement in a United States District Court from San Jose, California.
Talking about the issue, Susan Lundgren, an Apple spokeswoman said, “We take it very seriously when we believe people have stolen our intellectual property.”
Apparently, Psystar began selling its Open Computers and Openserv server earlier this year which incorporated modified versions of Apple OS X. Besides, Apple claims that the patches provided for this OS were just copied from Apple’s website.
It seems that Apple has asked for profits that Psystar derived from the sale of the Open Computer and Openserv server. Also the company has demanded the recall of all Open Computer and Openserv server.
As of now there is no information regarding Psystar’s reaction on the lawsuit as of yet.
