MSI CES 2010 line-up includes gaming laptops, entertainment notebooks and more

MSI is all set it unravel its notebook prowess at the ongoing CES, 2010. The G-series gaming laptops, GE-series entertainment and 3D notebooks, C-series notebooks, X-Slim series ultra-thin laptops, the Wind U-series netbooks and the Wind Top touch screen AIO desktop computers. A host of other innovative concepts are also expected to be unveiled.

The G-Series gaming laptops are armed with Intel’s newest Calpella platform and claim to include 4 of the most powerful devices. Powered by Intel’s new generation quad core CPU platform, the two models namely GT640 and GT740 include the Intel Core i7 quad core processor. The other two models mainly GX640 and GX740 are equipped with Intel’s latest Intel Core i5 duo core processor. Advanced high performance 3D discrete graphic cards and high-end soft/hardware are some of the highlights that should hold the attention of gamers.

The company also slid the covers off its new 15.6” 3D notebook. Boasting of a 120Hz 3D HD display, the notebook’s GPU and 120Hz 3D panel supposedly function seamlessly together to offer a simultaneous presentation of 60 images for both the left and right eye. Users can also enjoy lifelike 3D images with Nvidia 3D vision glasses. The C-series notebooks are incorporated with the Arrandale platform’s Intel Core i5 Processors.

In addition to this, MSI also showed off its popular X-Slim Series of ultra-thin laptops based on the Windows 7 platform. The line-up includes the X620 ultra-portable notebook that created a stir for its design and the ultra-thin X360 notebook that is claimed to be the first notebook in the world to be bundled with Intel’s Arrendale ULV processors. The stylish Wind U-series slim netbooks marked the debut of the world’s first Pine Trail platform device namely U135 to be certified with the WiMax Forum.

Seven new Wind Top All-in-one computers ranging in size from 19 to 24 inch models were also expected to be showcased. The 24-inch AE2400 packaged with the latest multi-point touch control screen and Windows 7 as well as world-class cinema sound features in this portfolio. A high-quality display area onsite is also expected to display the multimedia features of the company’s new AIO computers.

Besides these computing devices, several new digital concept products will also mark their presence at the CES 2010. This includes an HD e-book, dual display touch screen e-book, wireless battery charger for notebooks. Featuring an exclusive virtual keyboard that boasts of enhanced tactile impressions via its intuitive counter-force reaction function, the 10-inch dual display touch screen e-book should certainly turn some heads around.

Making its way through earlier e-book, notebook, PDA, and other handheld device limitations are features like the Intel Menlow platform, Windows 7, high-speed WLAN, and SSD storage. As for the novel Wireless notebook battery charger, it apparently transforms the traditional power supply concept. All the users have to do is set their notebook on the wireless battery charging pad to charge their notebook’s battery automatically. It eliminates the need for a power cord.

The pricing and availability of the MSI products are not announced as yet.
