Sony has dropped the fees for its Fresh Start program.

Earlier Sony had announced that buyers of Vaio TZ2000 and Vaio TZ2500 laptops will have to $50 for each laptop delivered without bloatware. This option of the notebook without bloatware is named as Fresh Start.

After a big criticism received on the issue, Sony has now finally decided to cancel the extra fees for bloatware free notebooks.

Sony said, “We want Vaio users to have the best experience possible with our PCs, and we believe Fresh Start will help ensure that happens right out-of-the-box.”

With this Fresh Start program, buyers of Vaio TZ2000 and Vaio TZ2500 will be able to get rid of VAIO-specific programs, games and other trial softwares.

Now the Vaio TZ2000 and Vaio TZ2500’s starting prices will be $3,050 and $1,900 respectively. Prices may vary according to the configuration chosen.
