Asus announces the green Bamboo notebook series

As almost all of the gadgets and technology manufacturers around the world are chanting the ‘go-green’ mantra, Asus has actually adopted nature into its product for a green step. Asus presents the all new Bamboo Series of notebooks whose exteriors are actually made out of the bamboo material.

Well, the bamboo made exterior is not the lone highlight of the series. Eco-friendly users will be glad to know that the Asus Bamboo notebooks will be sporting green batteries that claim to have 35 to 70 percent longer life than the ones in other notebooks owing to Super Hybrid Engine. They also claim to ensure 23 percent higher performance from the notebooks as compared to other brands, irrespective of the Super Hybrid engine.

The series consists of two Bamboo notebooks with a 12.1inch and 11.1 screens. The notebook with the large screen comes power packed with GeForce 9300M GS, 2.5” hard disk of the capacity upto 320GB, plus an integrated 802.11n Wi-Fi.

The notebook with the small form factor comes equipped with Intel Core Duo Processor U7600, DDR2 667 MHz SDRAM, 32GB SSD and DVD Super Multi Double Layer.

The series also features 8-in-1 card reader and 0.3 megapixel web cam.

The price details and the availability of the Asus Bamboo series are yet to be announced.
