W5Fe, U1F and ASUS-Lamborghini VX2 Series of Vista Ready Notebooks

As the world looks forward to the launch of Microsoft’s next-generation operating system, Windows Vista today, ASUS has also been gearing up for this big day. ASUS has come out with a range of Vista ready notebook solutions that will allow users to enjoy new capabilities in security, performance, reliability and manageability. The newly launched Windows Vista ready ASUS notebooks include the ASUS W5Fe, the U1F and the ASUS-Lamborghini VX2 series.

The ASUS W5Fe SideShow notebook, which debuted at last year’s CES show, has a second display window. With this notebook, users can easily handle e-mails, system status and data management. The ASUS W5Fw SideShow notebook is an independent notebook, in the sense that it can be turned on without the need to booth up the whole system. And, this feature proves to be very useful when one needs to take a quick glance at perhaps a meeting agenda while in a crowded place.

Moreover, the ASUS W5Fe notebook, besides incorporating the auxiliary display, also offers a host of brilliant features that include a built-in 1.3 mega pixel 235 degrees rotational webcam that is meant for wireless video communication. Other features include a two spindle design with a card reader slot and Bluetooth 2.0EDR, that takes care of connectivity and ample data storage.

The ASUS U1F is an ultra compact 11 inch widescreen notebook that has been made especially for metropolitan professionals. The screen of the ASUS U1F notebook uses a special LED backlight panel that operates with lower power consumption. It also offers better luminance, along with faster response time. And this makes for a very pleasant viewing experience.

Magnesium-aluminum alloy and carbon fiber have been used for the cover and base of the ASUS U1F notebook. This enhances the overall mobility design of the U1F notebook, and at the same time keeps all its parts well-protected.

The ASUS-Lamborghini VX2 notebook is the third Windows Vista ready notebook from ASUS, and is based on the latest Intel Centrino platform. It thus continues to be a popular choice due to its sensational design, and fast speed.

The ASUS-Lamborghini VX2 notebook has a 15-inch glare-type widescreen display that exhibits vibrant colors and sharp details. Moreover, data security is enhanced due to the built-in fingerprint scanner that reads from the live layer of skin. This prevents common skin surface conditions from impairing the accuracy of the scanner.
