Industry sources in Taiwan are claiming that Apple will come out with 15.4-inch widescreen MacBook laptops in the second quarter.
At present Apple MacBooks are only available in 13.3-inch.
There are also rumors that Quanta Computer manufacturers of the current MacBook Pro notebooks have been awarded the contract to make the new 15.4-inch widescreen MacBook notebook.
The 15.4-inch MacBooks are expected to be sold at the same price or even cheaper than the 13.3-inch model due to the lower cost of 15.4-inch LCD panels. The 13.3-inch MacBooks are priced at $1,099 to $1,499.
If the rumors are true and Apple is planning to launch the 15.4-inch variant of its MacBook then Apple will certainly see a rise in sales for its notebooks.
