TravelMate 6292 Santa-Rosa Notebook unveiled by Acer in India
Acer has launched its latest TravelMate range of laptops that are based on Intel’s latest mobile platform, the Intel Core 2 Duo mobile processor T7100 (codenamed Santa Rosa). According to the company, the new TravelMate 6292 is the first Santa Rosa platform-based 12.1-inch ultra-portable notebook to be launched by any brand in India.
The TravelMate 6292 is a 12.1-inch notebook that comes in a thin and light form factor and weighs just 1.99kgs. It features Intel Core 2 Duo mobile processor T7100 with 2MB L2 cache, 1.8 GHz, 800MHz FSB 9front side bus), and support for Intel 64 architecture.
The new TravelMate 6292 notebook also features Microsoft Windows Vista, mobile Intel GM965 Express chipset and the Intel PRO/Wireless network solution for excellent speed and performance, better graphics and signal integrity using the Wireless platform.
The Acer TravelMate 6292 notebook features a 12.1” WXGA CrystalBrite TFT LCD display. It has system memory of 1GB RAM upgradeable up to 4GB and comes equipped with battery life up to 7 hours.
According to S. Rajendran GM, Sales and Marketing, Acer India, “We are the first to launch the latest line of Intel Centrino Duo Processor Technology enabled notebooks in India, with the TravelMate 6292, continuing the trend of being at the forefront in supporting the latest notebook technologies that enhance customer experience in the market, as was in the case of the Tablet PC, the Ultra portable and Centrino-based notebooks to name a few. The new range of Acer notebooks is under shipment and will be made available in the Indian market by next week.”
Besides, the Travel 6292 also features user-friendly system utilities such as easy-launch buttons for WLAN, Bluetooth, email, Internet, user-programming and Acer Video Conferencing facilities.
The TravelMate 6292 ultra-portable notebook is available for a price of Rs.69,999 onwards.
