In June this year, we had reported about Intel joining hands with ASUSTek for the introduction of ‘Eeee PC’, a low-cost portable laptop. Now, ASUS has announced that the company has achieved record sales of their Eeee PC.
In fact, so good have the sales been that the ASUS Eee PC managed to sell 200 pieces in 20 minutes itself on Taiwan’s shopping channel, ETTV Shopping.
The ASUS Eee PC was launched in Taiwan and has since received a great user response. Interestingly, ASUS has likened the Eee PC to an easy mobile computing option for Internet browsing, learning and entertainment, very much how the Wii is to gaming consoles and the iPod is to MP3 players.
ASUS has announced the astounding sales figures of the Eee PC since its release, averaging an Eee PC to be sold every 6 seconds.
Besides Taiwan’s ETTV Shopping channel, other sales channels such as Yahoo have been bombarded on an equal scale with regards to the sale of the ASUS Eee PC.
And it all boils down to the fact that the ASUS Eee PC offers a simple and portable device that provides users with the most comprehensive Internet applications based on three Es: Easy to learn, work, play; Excellent Internet experience and Excellent on-the-go.
The Eee PC is also compatible with Windows XP and comes pre-loaded with over 40 built-in applications.
