Hewlett Packard Launches HP Pavilion dv2025TU Notebook in India
HP India has launched the ultra-stylish HP Pavilion dv2025TU notebook that features HP’s Imprint Finish Technology. The polished metallic piano black notebook top cover and palm rest sports unique in-laid “wave” patterns.The high-gloss resin finish looks attractive and lends a higher durability and scratch resistance to exteriors of the notebook.
HP is the first notebook manufacturer to use this technology for notebook design. The company said the new molding and imprint technique was created after conducting research in three continents to understand personal design preferences.
This notebook features ‘capacitive’ touch technology for access to audio, launch buttons, and volume controls. By just touching, tapping or swiping these backlit media launch buttons one can have fast and direct access to entertainment. The experience is similar to that of a touch pad.
Rajiev Grover, Country Category Manager, Consumer Portables, HP India, said, “HP recognizes and values the aspirations of the consumers today. We realize that notebooks have today carved a presence even in the personal lifestyle of the consumers. As the notebooks increasingly become an integral part of their lives, the consumers identify more and more with their notebooks. The notebook becomes an extension and reflection of their selves.”
HP said the Pavilion dv2025TU represents the ultimate convergence of style with substance. It comes with features such as HP QuickPlay Direct (access DVDs and music without booting up), ExpressCard Remote Control (control various applications from a distance of up to 10 feet), 14.1″ BrightView widescreen with high color gamut technology, Super Multi Lightscribe DVD-Writer, Wireless, Bluetooth and the Intel Centrino Duo mobile technology.
The HP Pavilion dv2000 series range of notebooks will be priced from Rs. 52,500 onwards and would be available at all HP Mobile Samurai Channel Partners across the country.

I purchased this LapTop dv2025tu, on 28 th jun’06. I am contantly getting a prob. of hang after 1-2 hours continous run. And whenever it hangs I wait for 15-20 min. and after no actions I unplug the battery and then using.
I think this is a serious problem.
I don’t know my Piece is really bad or this is some hardware problem with the model. If my laptop is having the h/w prob. let me know.

THis might be a hardware problem or there may be too many programs running on the taskbar on your laptop. Since you have purchased the laptop this year and have a warranty, you should take this matter up at a Hewlett Packard Centre, where they will surely be able to help you.

I purchased this LapTop dv2025tu, on 31 Aug ’06. my problem is when i am going to label the disc. its saying “device not found”. Is it something about harware device or A dvd wich comes with lightscribe. i am using the normal dvd.
Here i want to know that if somehow my os getting cruppeted. In this case how i will get the os, i did not got any CD’s with this laptop.
Is it possible to create recovery disk on windows 2000 or windows server. If so please guide me how to create it.

Hi,
Just bought Pavilion 2025tu in September,2006 tried to upgrade to XP professional and the whole system crashed and was not booting. (unfortunately not created recovery discks). I take it to service center, the service center guys installed XP home edition, but all the look and settings that have come with factory settings are not available. Is there any way i can restore my laptop with factory settings.

Here I have read lot of complaints about HP DV2025TU. I was also about to buy the paticular lap top.
If your problems are not solved with visits to the service centres and calling up the company guys, you should approach CONSUMER COURTS at your palce and do write to the consumer sections of local news papers and basically spead the news around, it will at least ensure that others will not be cheated and put pressure on the company to do the needful. The consumers in India are cheated daily due to the lack of awareness about their rights and general complacency.
Most of the sellers of different brands that I visited in Delhi do not have a clue about the techinical details of specific laptops or hide important deficiencies. They confuse/lure customers by using words like Core Duo and all. You should also bargain hard. In Delhi you can get 2025 at Rs.57500 (including all taxes)

HP DV2025TU IS DISCONTINUED
I found the link given below in the HP website announcing the discontinuation of most of the entertainment series of notebooks. The link for HP Pavilion Laptops in the India HP website also do not show up.

It is the height of corporate crime that HP did not announce this the front pages of the website; in order to cheat the unsuspecting consumers in the festival times and sell off the pieces left with the resellers/ stockists. This information comes only if you search in key words the name of the laptop.
I think those who have bought the laptop recently have every justification to go to consumer court as I have suggested earlier.
I will do a follow up on as many as possible and do let you know.

Its not like that you purchase laptop from out India doesnt includes warranty, But you need to check out the terms and condition wot are there applies by HP. Try to give a call to customer care and know abt warranty matter, regarding if you purchase laptop from outside of india. And by the way no. of new config are available in india itself. Now Laptops are coming with Vista Home Basic version and Vista Home Premium too.

Deary Sony is frikken expensive. HP’s quality for lower prices. HP’s sexier in several ways. Sony’s for rich people who know how to burn their money without a second thought. I say go for HP, and end starvation forever. Or go for Sony, and just join the starving. You take your pick ehhh. The retail prices of Sony Laptops start at 50 odd. Perhaps theres one shittily configured lappy cheaper. They don’t have a nice big price range of laptops, it just jumps, and ends up in the lakhs. HPs seem better configured and lower priced, from all my lappy research. Im buyin an HP dv6502AU, which looks like a good deal. Check it out.

I would like to buy a HP Pavilion dv 9502 au - the model with the Turion Processor. Can any one advise me on how good the Turion Processor is. Ive read about problems of low battery and power consumption. How serious is this? My main use for a laptop is for audio applications
