Asus Computer International plans to lift the covers off the Asus-Lamborghini VX1 notebook on August 18th in the U.S. at the 2006 Concorso Italiano ‘Celebration of Indian Style.’

Asus CEO, Ivan Ho, and LAMBORGHINI CEO and President, Stephan Winkelmann will reveal the Asus-Lamborghini VX1 notebook, at the Automobili Lamborghini tent. ASUS will display the notebook at both the Asus and Lamborghini tents and will have a drawing open to the public for a new Asus-Lamborghini VX1 notebook.

The notebook stems from an alliance between Asus, Automobili Lamborghini and Intel. The Asus-Lamborghini VX1 notebook is the pioneering one in a series of officially licensed products. The Asus-Lamborghini VX1 is said to successfully capture the spirit of the cars whose name it bears with design details and special mirror painting finish suggestive of Lamborghini’s fine automobiles. Asus said the product was designed from the beginning to be, like its Lamborghini namesake, in a category by itself.
