iTunes and BBC Logo British television giant, BBC has announced that it will sell selective programs to Apple’s online music and media supermarket.

Programs such as Torchwood, Life on Mars, Little Britain and Spooks will be available on iTunes for download for £1.89 per episode; while the whole series of these programs will be available at anything between £9.99 and £21.99.

“We want to give audiences a wide variety of options on how and where to view their favourite BBC shows,” said BBC Worldwide’s Simon Danker.

Also, it was announced that the recently aired programs will be available for download one week after the original transmission.

Earlier BBC began to show its news and entertainment programs on YouTube. By the end of the last year, BBC facilitated viewers to stream videos and download through BBC iPlayer. And now it has gone further and joined hands with Apple’s iTunes.
