Along with the new iPod nano and Touch, Apple also announced next version of iTunes. The latest iTunes 8 software includes the new Genius feature which allows users to automatically create playlists from songs in their music library with just one click. Apple states that Genius helps music fans rediscover favorite songs in their existing music library and suggests related music on the iTunes Store they might want to add to their music collection.

With a click of the Genius button, iTunes instantly creates a playlist of songs that go great together from users’ library. Users can preview, edit and save the playlist to enjoy later. Genius Playlists can be created on-the-go with the new iPod classic, iPod touch, iPod nano and iPhone.

Furthermore, the Genius also assists users while buying music from iTunes Store. The Genius sidebar appears in iTunes and recommends music from the iTunes Store that users don’t already have.

Moreover, the iTunes 8 features new ways of viewing music and video libraries, and adds television programs. The iTunes 8 sports a new visual browsing interface that displays music and video libraries using album and video covers.
