Firefox Celebrates 500 Million Downloads

Firefox 500 Million Mozilla Firefox is becoming increasingly popular now. 500 Millions downloads is the proof of its popularity. Mozilla has announced that Firefox has reached the landmark of 500 million downloads in a span of three years.

Firefox, the open source web browser was launched in November 2004.

For celebrating this success, Mozilla has announced that it will choose a different path. The company has said that it plans to donate 500,000,000 grains of rice in one day to help feed the world’s poor.

Mozilla further says that such a huge amount of rice can feed around 25,000 poor people for a single day.

Firefox has also asked its users to contribute in their mission of collecting 500 million grains of rice. Users can donate rice here.
