MySpace launches Data Availability, allowing Users to Share Content to Other Services

Members of the popular social networking site MySpace can now make their information available on other websites. The new service is called “Data Availability” through which users can share their public profile information with Yahoo, Twitter, eBay and Photobucket.
MySpace claims that Data Availability will offer users a simple and comprehensive control of their own content and data. They will have control over the information they share and who they share it with.
“The walls around the garden are coming down—the implementation of Data Availability injects a new layer of social activity and creates a more dynamic Internet,” said Chris DeWolfe, CEO and co-founder of MySpace. “We, alongside our Data Availability launch partners, are pioneering a new way for the global community to integrate their social experiences Web-wide.”
MySpace will be rolling out a centralized location within the site, allowing users to manage how their content and data is made available to third party sites.
Besides, at the MySpace public profile, users can also share their MySpace photos, MySpaceTV videos and friends networks.
