Yahoo India Logo Yahoo! India has decided to go little more local with its search function. The internet giant has launched Yahoo! India Search named Glue Pages Beta. It will exclusively be available on www.yahoo.in.

Yahoo! Glue Pages Beta is introduced in order to collect and incorporate the most appropriate information from across the web. Moreover, the new introduction will also feature ‘intuitive search’ to gather the most relevant text, images, and video content from across the web for select search queries on the single page.

Gopal Krishna, head (Audience) of Yahoo! India, said, “Searching on Glue Pages Beta will result in an experience that promises more than just Web links. Users will receive more relevant, visually-appealing search results from across the Web in one topical page.”

Yahoo! claims that Glue Pages Beta will cover a variety of information sources. For example a search for Diabetes would offer results from HowStuffWorks, Yahoo! Groups, Yahoo! Health, Yahoo! Answers, and blogs.

However, Glue Pages Beta is still in its initial stages and is available for select search terms across categories, including health, sports, entertainment, travel, technology, and finance.
